  A identidade cultural da nossa região está associada a uma tradição rural da qual se destaca a cultura da oliveira e do olival.
  A preservação desta identidade na cidade de Mirandela é traduzida através da exposição de antigos lagares de azeite nos jardins e a plantação de oliveiras como elementos da paisagem urbana.
  Esta tradição é valorizada não só na sua vertente agrícola e económica, mas também através da preservação por todos aqueles que não são proprietários diretos ou indiretos de uma oliveira.

  The preservation of this identity in the city of Mirandela is translated through the exhibition of old olive oil presses in the gardens and the planting of olive trees as elements of the urban landscape.

  Rede Social - Respostas Sociais do Município de Mirandela:
  O Programa Rede Social foi criado pela Resolução do Conselho de Ministros nº197/97, de 18 de Novembro. Ele é definido como um fórum de articulação e congregação de esforços baseado na adesão livre por parte das autarquias e das entidades públicas ou privadas sem fins lucrativos que nela queiram participar. Estas entidades deverão concertar os seus esforços com vista à erradicação ou atenuação da pobreza e da exclusão e à promoção do desenvolvimento social. Trata-se de uma estratégia para abordar a intervenção social baseada num trabalho planeado, feito em parceria, visando racionalizar e trazer maior eficácia à ação das entidades públicas e privadas que atuam numa mesma unidade territorial.

  The Social Network Programme was created by Council of Ministers Resolution nº197/97 of 18 November. It is defined as a forum for articulation and assembly of efforts based on free membership by municipalities and public or private non-profit entities that want to participate in it. They should coordinate their efforts to eradicate or alleviate poverty and exclusion and promote social development. It is a strategy to address social intervention based on planned work, done in partnership, aiming to rationalize and bring greater effectiveness to the action of public and private entities that operate in the same territorial unit.
